The great advances achieved in recent years in artificial intelligence (AI) have made it possible to respond to the great challenges that have been posed in the field of education, especially in the field of Translation and Interpreting. In the realm of Public Services Interpreting and Translation, the past decade has seen a growing use of innovative applications and digital tools, enabling access to training resources and fostering the development of essential skills that must be reinforced during the training stages of aspiring interpreters. However, the full potential of these AI-driven tools for the field of Translation and Interpreting, particularly within the public services sector, remains to be fully explored.
The aim of this issue of the international scientific journal FITISPos is to present research results on the use of AI tools both in the professional stages and in the training context of the Public Service context, sharing innovative practices and ideas that could be considered in the training of future professionals.
