MARCANDO LA DIFERENCIA:

¿CÓMO CONTRIBUYE UN CURSO DE FORMACIÓN DE INTÉRPRETES A LA IDENTIDAD PROFESIONAL DE LOS INTÉRPRETES DEL SERVICIO PÚBLICO?

Resumen

Resumen: En Noruega, la Ley de Interpretación (2022) exige que los intérpretes estén cualificados antes de aceptar un cargo de interpretación. Una manera de cualificarse es haciendo un curso de interpretación de 30 ECTS. En el presente artículo se explora de qué manera un curso de este tipo contribuye al desarrollo de la identidad profesional de los intérpretes. Dos grupos de estudiantes que habían hecho tal curso en [Universidad] en Noruega fueron invitados a participar en un cuestionario electrónico seguido de entrevistas individuales. Los datos fueron analizados de modo temático reflexivo y muestran que los estudiantes, después de haber completado el curso, se autoevalúan como más independientes, con más autoconfianza y más conscientes de la importancia y los límites de su rol. También expresan que el curso había contribuido a mejorar su técnica de interpretación. El hecho de encontrarse con otros intérpretes del servicio público también hizo que se sintieron integrados en una comunidad profesional. Esto indica que incluso un curso breve de formación de intérpretes juega un rol importante en el desarrollo de la identidad profesional de los intérpretes.
