Abstract: The number of foreign people who are living in Spain has been rising in the last years. Consequently, the number of immigrants who establishes a connection with the police for any reason also increases. This is why the interpreters’ work is increasing not only in the public services in general, but also in the police settings, both in Spain and in many other countries.
The main purpose of this research is to try to know the reality of interpreters who work with the Police: knowing the settings where they work, their opinion on their own situation, or even the opinion of the police officers.Downloads
