The twelfth issue of FITISPos International Journal focuses on the challenges translators and interpreters face when dealing with complex, heterogeneous and ethically compromised situations in public services. It addresses issues such as stress management and the emotional impact on professionals working in courts, hospitals, social services, schools and other environments that can generate stress. This Research Corner aims to contribute to the training and updating of translators and interpreters by presenting scientific and academic advances in the field of Translation and Interpreting in Public Situations (TISP) from 2024 to the present day. It also explores the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and technology on human translation and interpretation, analyzing how these tools can improve accuracy and efficiency, but also how they can affect human experience and cultural sensitivity in communication.
