The year 2016 will be the 10th Anniversary of the creation of the Red COMUNIC@ (National Observatory on Public Service Translation & Interpretation). At this point of inflexion, we would like to assess the changes that have taken place during the last decade in the field of provision of linguistic services in the public services. While it is true that we have witnessed some of the most important changes during this intense decade, we have also faced many challenges which rather than dishearten us have actually spurred us on, to continue striving for professionalization of Public Service Translation & Interpretation (PSTI). 

The 2016 volume of FITISPos International Journal will be dedicated to reviewing and analysing the evolution of PSTI during the past decade. We would be delighted to receive your proposals for papers (preliminary version of the full paper) which should focus on any of the following issues:

-State of PSTI

-Professionalization and recognition of PSTI-Training challenges in PSTI

-Monitoring and quality systems in PSTI

Researchers and professionals from all over the world can send in their proposals in the following languages: Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, French, English, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Russian. (other languages may be accepted subject to approval from the Editorial Board).

Last date for sending proposals: 30th September, 2015.

Editors will respond to you by: 31st October, 2015.

Last date for sending in the final document: 20th December, 2015.

Publication: April, 2016.
